Biographies
Drew Field has provided direct public offering advisory services since
1976, helping clients raise over $250 million in direct public offerings of corporate
securities to individual investors. He is the author of Direct Public Offerings: The New
Method for Taking Your Company Public (Sourcebooks, Inc., 1997), Take Your Company Public!
The Entrepreneur's Guide to Alternative Capital Sources (Simon & Schuster/New York
Institute of Finance, 1991) as well as numerous articles and speeches on direct public
offerings.
As a securities lawyer and partner in a San Francisco law firm, Drew advised companies on
public offerings, private financings, acquisitions and restructurings. As a CPA, he was a
partner and Director of Corporate Finance for Deloitte & Touche and an auditor and tax
accountant for Price Waterhouse.
Drew received his B.S. in accounting from the University of Idaho and his J.D. from
Rutgers University. He has been a member of the California State Bar since 1960 and a
Certified Public Accountant in California since 1961.
Gwendolyn Geer Field joined Drew Field/Direct Public Offerings in 1994
and is responsible for marketing and client development. Previously, she was Director of
Employment & Employee Relations at the Pacific Stock Exchange and a Human Resources
Specialist with Levi Strauss & Company.
From 1990 to 1994, while at the Pacific Stock Exchange, Ms. Field managed a staff that was
responsible for recruitment and employee relations. During her seven years at Levi
Strauss, Gwendolyn recruited management employees, provided human resources consultation
for start-up subsidiaries, and was selected as a member of a 12 person design team to
re-engineer all levels of the organization, both internationally and domestically.
Ms. Field received her B.A. in English, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the
University of Washington in 1970, and studied in the Masters Program in Clinical
Psychology at Antioch University West from 1982 to 1984 |
